Volunteers are a valued part of Icarus and play
a particularly important role in the work that we do

Volunteer with us

We appreciate and value the significant contributions that volunteers make to the aims and objectives of Icarus. We therefore recognise that it is crucial that we attract volunteers to our organisation to help us achieve our charitable purpose and associated goals.

We are looking for volunteers who are qualified mental health practitioners, trainee counsellors and/or psychotherapists working towards a Level 4 Diploma (or higher) and those who are interested in helping support people as a mentor. We ask that prospective volunteers demonstrate a commitment to the aims of Icarus and that their availability as volunteers aligns with the needs of the charity.

We provide appropriate support and supervision to allow volunteers to realise their full potential in their role with us. We are committed to compliance with all relevant legislative obligations relating to the environment in which our volunteers carry out their role.

We provide a volunteer recruitment process which is free from any unlawful discrimination.

If you would like to be considered for a volunteer position, please complete this form, upload your CV and any qualification/accreditation certificates and submit. After we receive your application, we will contact you to undertake an initial, informal interview over the telephone.

All information on this form will be kept confidential.

Please be aware that it is our policy to undertake a DBS check on all potential volunteers.
